Was up most of the weekend nights reading "Emma" by Jane Austen.. Mr.Knightley rocks, but he has nothing over Mr.Darcy, sorry..
Finished the book, and now i'm anxious..
I dread starting a new book, it's like i have to meet new people (**the characters of the book), get acquainted with them, and start remembering their names all over again as i start to immerse myself into their lives..
As i get to know them better, i start walking in their shoes (**which i adore) and start living their lives, thereby fully immersing myself in the novel..
All of a sudden the journey has ended, and i loose the familiarity i have just built, and find myself nearing the end of the book as i bid my new and short-lived friends farewell..
Remind you much of Life? (**just realized this is so parallel to life, just substitute books to different milestones and periods in life, or maybe perhaps people?..)
Wish you as much pleasure as i get once "أندمج إب كتاب" ..
PS. Building castles in the sky, requires demolishing meager huts..
3 Opinions:
Have you ever read Shogun, by James Clavell? My husband and I both read it (it is HUGE and will take you a long time) and when we finished, we were just bereft! But the good thing is that Clavell wrote a whole series, different branches of the same family, different generations, and they all relate to each other. They are very adult books, have some strong material, but utterly gripping.
intlxpatr..
Hi! no didn't have the pleasure but the name sounds familiar.. will check it out.. lol at the series and branches part, that'll take me all day then ;p
